Eh, I've got free access to a variety of vehicles so it's really a non-issue unless I'm traveling away from home with only the Jeep, which won't be often.

Fair point. I've never looked at them. But that's probably obvious

Yeah that was the one mod my dad didnt want me to do. I ordered the cell and pretty well had it installed before he could say a thing. And honestly you could easily return it back to stock. Problem with thing on top is that you can't fill up easy

no doors, no top, no problems

I'm thinking adapt a filler neck into it and have the opening built into the side of the structure. Have it near one if the windows. That'd be nifty.

Event though I am not from NC.... I really would not want a fuel cell in my tub due to the fumes and lack of storage. I did recently relocate my battery to the tub and have been messing with it lately-It is not hard to access and take only a few seconds to pull the window back on my stock LJ top for access. It you went with a cell in the tub, I would probably want it as far back as possible to help with weight which would also kill the access point of the rear door on your TJ.

Honestly I get near zero fumes in my jeep. The only time I get them is when I have the top on on a hit summer day and I filled up the day before. And I think that's because I spilled gas.

Also you only ever carry about 100 pounds of gas in a fuel cell. So that's hardly enough to make a large difference in location. Corner armor would even it back out if its a huge concern

"15 gallons" more like a little over 12 once you factor in the volume the pump takes up, there over dimensioning and not being able to use the top inch or so

I carry an extra 5 gallons, but even at Windrock I've never run more than half a tank through it in a day.

Lol Saturday at Harlan this year I used 3 quarters of a tank. But I was at nothing shy of 4k rpm in 3rd gear every where I was going. I was speed racing it.
