I was really hoping someone would have a better quality bushing that fit them but looks like you're right. And I can't get RC to answer the friggen phone.

EDIT: I don't suppose the arms are under a year old and you have proof of purchase right?

You might can find some bushings that'll fit, I'll measure the ID of the arm for the bushings tomorrow.

Bought in February 2011.

Oh well, no free bushings for me. I did get the green light from my dad, so I'll order a pair of Duroflex and pick up those arms when I can, not really sure when.

Just keep in mind, the threads are shrunk on one of the arms so it is hard to adjust. It won't hurt the joint, you just need a vice and a long bar to adjust them.

My best guess: they got it too hot when welding the tube insert to the arm and the threads shrunk after it cooled. They warrantied them so it was no big deal.

Metalcloak just called to ask if forged joints were ok, as they were out of welded. Now that is customer service! Definitely one of my favorite companies to buy from.

Spent the weekend working on the Commando, thrilled when it actually made it through the pits. Pics on the Junkyard Hero thread, and the video of the run will be up soon.

The terrible noise coming from underneath has gotten about 5x worse since I last drove it. Now it sounds like marbles in a blender all the time. So I stopped it at the bottom of the driveway, put it in 4lo, and walked beside it as it crawled up. I sourced the noise coming from the bellhousing, in addition to the racket the transfer case makes. I believe my flex plate is loose and breaking, as I thought it was clutch related. This is just fantastic news. If it is the flex plate, then I'm getting a flywheel put in at the same time, since mine is trash as well.

In other news, my dad got into a cleaning frenzy and attacked the Jeep with a clay bar and Back to Black. I've never seen it so clean. Pretty redundant since I was planning to go to Uwharrie next weekend.

He gets real particular about it. All that ground in Uwharrie dust was too much.
