How do you plan on laying the sheet metal? tube exposed or more stock looking?

Anyways, love the build, crawled.

Thanks! The plan is to have the sheet metal come down on the outside of the inner tubing so tube will be showing on the inside of the trunk. Then another piece will come from the outside tube to the top of the inside.

Friday or Saturday I should have a layout made for it, Didn't do any work on the jeep today because yesterday I went Snowboarding and Popped my shoulder out in the park, hurt to much to be fooling around in the garage. I did mess with it a little yesterday when I got home though. Worked on reinforcing the back of the body since it was all cut up and here is my solution.

Welded a piece of steel to the back of the body where the headlights where. Dad welded most of it since welding with one arm wasn't really working for me.

Picked up some goodies today thanks to MO2500

Anyone have any ideas on the best possible way to integrate a shock mount into the rear fenders? I thought maybe another straight tube across from the inside to the outside but not sure if that would be sturdy enough. The structure of the soon to be fender is welded to plate which is welded to the floor which will soon be bolted down as well I think that should be enough to keep some shocks from ripping it up.

If you run a tube straight across and tie the fender structure into the unibody you should be fine mounting shocks off the inner fender tube-work IMO. Once you add a cage you could do additional reinforcement.

Yea I cant wait to get them mounted and crawl up walls!

I was thinking of something like that just need to see if it would stick out far enough to be on top of the leaf spring plate.

Haha hurt your arm boarding man? I completely tacoed my self on a 25 foot rainbow rail trying a switch front board on Sunday and I have some sore ribs now haha. Back when I was in high school it didn't matter if I got hurt but now with work it's getting harder and harder to ride at the level I used to.

I just got back from boarding in Canada for a week which was amazing! Yesterday I go to a local resort and conditions kinda sucked but for the first hour I was playing in the park hitting the rails and jumps, last run I front board a slightly kinked rail and overcompensated and crashed down on my shoulder. Hit the rail perfect two other times and this last one got me. It sucked ha
