So over the last few weeks I added more new parts and I still need to do more work before camping this summer. First on my list is axle bearings and seals in the rear, and I have seen the need to make some kind of a skid plate for the front, not really sure what I can do yet but I have to do something. Really want to build a tire carrier but that is getting moved back :-( I really wish I could get a loan to build the heep.
Heck just wish their was more aftermarket support for the Wjs, everything I have to do, is always custom or simi-custom, I lucked out on the winch mount but trying to find a carrier under $1100 is impossible, and everyone wonders why I want to buy a Yj for a toy. With the money I will have into this I could have built a bad azz Yj, oh well I do love the way she rides down the road, and besides rocks it will go were I want to, even places I should have never gone :-)

To answer your question about my shelving, I got it from a friend who drives an FJ.

Here is another pic of it with my stuff on it:

The back of an Xterra has mounting points with slide-able hooks in the tracks on the floor. The shelving unit had mounting bracket loops attached to it at each corner. I simply used (white) paracord (you can see it on the left side of the photo) and tied the shelf to the floor to make it stable since it kept getting jostled around when I went wheeling. It had to be cut to fit inside the wheel wells. It was not a perfect fit since it was made for an FJ, so I simply put my "squishier" survival items on either side of it between the sides of the X and the end of the shelf.

I hope that helps.

Got her back from the shop today... Had pinion bearings replaced.. So now my Dana 35 is pretty much new. They messed up the axle bearings I had just done, so they ended up replacing then again for no charge. Wyanes transmission off of cole is a really good shop. Wayne took real good care of me:-D

Wow it's been a bit since I updated this lol,,,, I had death wobble pretty bad could not hit any bumps over 35,,, so I replaced my tie rod ends,, been doing a lot of exploring/wheeling. With that I have been getting good use out of my winch, boy I would say that's been one of my best mods, saved my but a couple times. Found a power steering leak, need to replace the hose I think. Added some stickers :-)

Been having some problems with my electrical I have replaced that fricking $60 flasher/relay, and now when my headlights are on the driver side turn single stays on solid and driver side tail/brake light quits, but when the headlights are off my brake light stays,, and now it buzzs every now and then sounds like it's under my dash, I have checked my tail lights and head lights and what wires I could find, nothing, now I have been told it might be my turn single switch. Anyone have another idea hand singles are getting real old and it makes me not want to drive it

So I am looking at a new lift for my Wj, I think I got it down to two different lifts 1) IROs 3" kit that's $750 and then I can fit almost 32s with trimming and then that's all 32s will be the biggest I will fit. 2) IROs 6.5 critical path long arms that's $1,840 and out of the box fit 33s and after building axles for it on to 35s. The biggest issue I can see is with the long arms I am positive I will see problems down the road, DW and all the stuff, the added expense of building axles I can figure $2,000 or more depends on what I end up going with. I don't know what would be best, all I know is no matter what I am going to spend a ton of money

I think both IRO and RC make upgrade kits where you can use the springs and stuff that you have today and then just swap out the springs and shocks later when you decide to go higher. I have heard good things about both kits.
