The Hemi swap requires far more money, time and complexity for comparatively little benefit; it's not an intelligent choice in my particular situation.

That's certainly the exception to the rule, in my limited experience.

I think it's an L33 or an LH6, but I don't know for sure. I'm waiting to hear which - if either - and to see what kind of money we're talking about. The price is good enough to make me skeptical.

So your solution is to put a daimler pseudo "hemi" in it? Or did you mean an actual hemi? Like a 426 big block? Either way they are not very cost effective options.

And you must have forgot jeeps where AMC before they was chrysler and they used GM stuff then, and before that they was Kaiser, and used even more GM parts. Some would say that chrysler ruined jeep.

Its not a mopar, its a jeep and jeeps on an individual level have always been built by their owners to please their owners. Even the most diehard jeep fans have a hard time admitting that renault once owned the Jeep name. SO.............don't be a fanboy.

Then dont forger Ford built alot of jeeps, and willys too. Which is where they got there go anywhere reputation. Funny thing is how landrover started, they were surplus army jeeps with a different body.

What does the engine have to do with the transfer case skid? You can do anything as long as you plan for it accordingly and have the necessary skills and tools.

Would putting a v8 not cause the tranny to be in a different position. And also wouldn't it be a completely different tranny needing a custom crossmember??

Question: Should this go on the front or the back of the shirt?

I was just thinking about this. What if you put a small monkey head on the front, off center, to the left and a large full image on the back?
or
Small full image off center to the left and only the large monkey head on the back.
or
Large full image on the front with a small monkey head on the back lower left part of the t-shirt.

Thanks again for the great build thread. I should get in gear and start my own.

Sorry if I'm rambling I just had a little brainstorm.
