Also, sweet build thus far. Im planning on 35's and was wondering if the 2.5OME springs would cut it or not.... but now I know. Keep up the great work
Yes, they will fit if you set up your suspension in a similar fashion. However, you're going to have a lack of uptravel...you'll have to decide if that's okay with you or not. For me, for now...it's okay. I'm glad that you're enjoying the thread...I'll try and keep it interesting.

Well, I guess that's all that really matters now, isn't it!

You got that right.

Probably not too many updates for the next few days. I've got a couple of full days of work, and then the fun packages from Savvy should be here. I'll be scrounging more compressor supplies in my off-time. So...nothing fun until the brake upgrade is done, but then you guys probably get more pictures of Anna.

screw it... If she digs the red but opts for the 5 spd just give it a sex change ha. From what I've gathered of your abilities mate it shouldn't be too difficult for you. Carry on.

Ya know, are we sure about his abilities? So far, the only one I've seen with a tool in their hand has been Annabelle.

That was our assessment as well. If she really wants a 5-speed we can pull my stock transmission and put it into hers, and then Greta can get an NV4500, or something similar.

I would like to correct this assertion by stating that I was clearly holding an air grinder in Post #11, and off-camera holding an impact wrench in Post #14. I would also like to again state that Annabelle is a lot prettier than I, so I post a lot more pictures of her because I love all you people so f****** much.

Forgive me if I missed this, but what did you do concerning sway bar end links and bump stops?

Great build. I've been following - please tell me what the key trick is you speak of here?

[QUOTE=Sundowner;13307429]It kinda gets lost in that picture... ...and my personal favorite: FOUR trouble codes that were pulled out via the key trick. Yeah, top condition...

You didn't miss anything about the sway bars links because I didn't do anything about them. The bar itself is angled a bit down with the factory links in place. Rather than go to a cumbersome disconnect system I'll eventually get an Antirock in the front...I go off-road at the spur of the moment and I don't really want to have to stop and disconnect a sway bar.

Bump stops: 20mm extensions on the jounce bumpers, front and rear. It's not correct yet, but it's close enough. I'm staying out of any sort of severe articulation until I've got a steering linkage that will hold up, so I'm not worried about busting a mount.

Insert key into ignition. Turn to on and then back off, rapidly, three times. Do not turn it to "Start." The sequence is off-on-off-on-off-leave on. Codes read out in the odometer.

Thanks for clarifying. Didn't want to miss anything! Another good reason to run 35's: easier to run over zombies!

I'm anxious to try the key trick on my Jeep. Only a couple hours of work to go.

I'll bring the beer and heavy weapons, and you bring the fan. We'll call it even.

Actually, that's close to the truth. I wanted this specific size less for the look than the ability to get me further away from damage. Even if you're not doing technical trails the dangers of simple unimproved roads can take their toll on a vehicle without much ground clearance. A rock the size of a basketball can easily be laying in the middle of a desolate trail or gravel road, however you don't need to poser-flex a tire in order to get around it...you just need to be able to drive over it without slowing down too much.

I'm not sure if it works on a '98.
