Last night the lowering transfer case spacers came from Quadratec. I am only three hours away from them and if I order on a monday morning I aways get the parts by tuesday when I get home from base. On my last two orders it has taken four days and it starts out shipping with UPS(like normal) then when it gets to my town(Waldorf) UPS sends it to the Post Office and then it takes another two days. STUPID. iF it keeps up I will stop using them. I also tightened all the hose fittings one more time cause I smelt coolant on the way home. Didn't see any drips but you never can be too sure commuting back and forth to DC everyday.

Well I ordered tires from discount tires direct again. The rims and tires on my jeeps are from them and they rock. Well I ordered a set of cooper tires for my Tundra and here is where the story begins. I got the tires off the brown santa truck on Wednesday and went immediately to Merchant tire. An hour and a half later I rolled out and apparently halfway home all the weights on the front tires came and rattled under the carriage. So Thursday I left base early and got back to Merchants at 4pm and the manager that I like was gone( total jeep guy). I spent another 2.5 hours there and they did three test trips and messed around with my truck. End result was I had to pick up pizza for dinner and on the way home at 55 my steering wheel damn near shook out of my hands. Damn Bad!!!! As soon as I got home and boy was I pissed i called Discount Tires and they told me I needed to get my tires force balanced to see if the tires were bad and they were very understanding. So I called my chief and got half of today off. I went to Mr Tire and spent another 2.5 hours. I explained to the manager what discount tires needed. The technician broke my center cap and blamed it on the other shop. I had the Mr Tire Manager talk to discount tires manager and the Discount manager said WTH am I dealing with. To top it all off the technician ended up leaving suddenly to pick up his kid and then some really young guy finished my truck. Before I paid I took it out for a test drive. After all there lying it was fixed. I asked for the paperwork for the warranty and the manager told me they didn't have it and the total for all the balancing work today was 33.00. Really for four tires hmmm ok. I called discount tires and explained what now happened and the manager asked for my credit card and immediately credited my card for today's balancing and part of the center cap. Discount Tires Direct Rocks people!!!!!!!!

Last night I back the Rubi up the driveway and today when I came out the was a HUGE puddle of coolant under it. It came from where the upper radiator hose meets the nick on the engine. I fixed it and ended up using to hose clamps to make sure it doesn't happen again and I installed the new transfer drop down spacers. Maybe some day I will get to do a tummy tuck.

Not sure but when i went out to work today it looks like my front drivers side of the axle is leaking. gonna watch it a little and if it is I will have to take it to the shop and have it fixed. I also think the top end of the lower radiator is leaking. Ugh. I think the Rubi is jealous that I have been working on the CJ.

I read so many forums today at work Yes at work and I got home and tried everything I read about and nothing. The seat slides back and forth and locks in with no problem. However when I hit the lever on the upper side of the seat to lean it all the way forward it did and now WILL NOT LOCK INTO PLACE.

Not sure. I'd try to cycle it a few times. And then if it doesn't work then pull the seat and look at the bracket.

Thanks Hunter I have cycled it more time than I can shake a stick!!!! I guess I am going to have to take the damn seat out. If I can't fix it soon I am going to order some corbeau seats because they are the only combany that doesn't seem to use the oem seat brackets. Damn are seats and brackets expensive!!!

Yes they are $ If you get them let me know how you like them. I'd love to upgrade my seats. After all the money I've spent on the jeep my butt and my back still hurt on long trips.
