Just some random pictures from today. 5 Jeeps in a row! So what if two are Liberty's and one's a station wagon! It would have been 6 in a row but those damn VW's are encroaching on Jeep parking!

Wow I LOVE your Jeep! Everything about it. Those trails look INTENSE. I'm so jealous! Sexy!

Haha thank you very much. I don't think I've ever had my Jeep referred to as "sexy" before. She's a long way off from done and has a lot of little things I need to address, but she's definitely coming along.

So I came down with a case of the "angry sparrows." Since I am only one person, I had to give it my best guess as to which shaft it was. All signs pointed to the front d-shaft so out it came. Went for a little test drive and discovered, to my mock surprise, that it turned out not to be the problem shaft. SOOoOO back in it went and out came the rear shaft. Yup, that's the one. So now I officially have a FWD 2WD Jeep, and it handles about as good as you'd figure it would, haha. Should have the shaft finished up by tomorrow and thn all will be returned to normal. Here are some boring pictures of my shafts....

Here are a few pictures my cousin just sent to me, figured I'd post them up for fun. That's his '97 Explorer that we lifted a little while ago and those are also my old 33's.

Great build! How much money did it cost you to for the lift and tires, if you dont mind me asking? Also have you done a regear? I really want to put that lift in my heep this summer. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! Which tires? The lift can really range in price, I would highly suggest giving Rokmen, DPG Offroad, and even AEV a call to discuss the different options and packages people offer to see which fits you best.

My BFG's cost me around 1k if I remember correctly but these new (to me) Dunlops I picked up for $250 but that was a ridiculous deal from a guy who really didn't know what he had, so I kind of made out on that one. I haven't regeared yet because I am very indecisive. I haven't quite yet figured out what my final tire size will be and what axles I will end up with, so I keep putting it off. As of now, it is bearable for me. I have just made it a habit of turning OD off every time I start her up.

No, unfortunately, I am now in VA. And I would highly recommend cutting the fenders, it is by far one of the best mods I've done to the Jeep, especially because it can be done fore the price of a few cut off wheels.

Did you trim anything on the rear or just center the wheelwell to fit the 35's. Im trying to go 2''susp and 1.25 body to run 35's or is the 2.5in susp necessary.

No trimming needed, just centered it up and I have no rubbing. I ony have a 1" BL, however, so the difference for you would be a negligible .25" so I'd assume you would be just fine with proper bumpstopping.

The plan is to get corners with no flare holes to eliminate this problem but they are probably around number 3-4 on a list of things to buy for the Jeep.
I say trim em....

Here's how I did mine...

BTW - I love the wheeling pics in the beginning of your build, beautiful looking playground you have. Nice build so far, keep it up!

That looks great! Nice Jeep! I ended up just removing them completely and I am satisfied with it although the holes in the body do slightly annoy me. I plan on getting corners anyway so it won't be that way for long.

And yea I wish those trails were still within reach. Virgina really sucks as far as trails go...hopefully I get stationed somewhere a bit more conduscive to wheeling next go around.
