Yea I figured the clearance gains at the rear probably outweigh the inch or so that you lost on top. Looks great either way, congrats on the awesome score.

Yeah, I think the rear gains far outweigh the top. 2006Sport showed some "baby-flex" pics, and it almost looked like the frotn pass side was about to rub on the fender in the back, not the top.

The mirrors look great, but I have a better way to make that general area look 10000000% better.

Just paint the rest of the black OD, it is so scratched up right now.

not really. I had plenty more room to flex with no rubbing at all had i been disco'd

nope havent gotten round to painting the rest. the last time i painted the passengers side for some reason the paint was a different color OD so its not matching the rest of the jeep. so ill either have to check all the cans i have to see which ones are different or go buy some new paint. it really bugs the hell out of me that it doesnt match considering its the same damn can and brand of paint

its cool man. ill probably end up redoing that area but it takes for ever to tape off the sahara and jeep decal so ill probably do it after ive already finished the rest of the jeep

Wow you've got a lot more patience and/or love for those decals than I do. Anytime one of them has gotten in the way of me doing something out came the heat gun. How much are new decals? If I were you I'd just remove the one's you have so you can paint much easier and just replace them with new ones, probably be much less of a hassle.

Also do you have some head on shots of your Jeep with the new tube fenders?

Now I fully understand the paint thing. I would check all of the cans, and return the one that was a different color. Home Depot took back an almost empty can of primer for me because it was sputtering.

Yeah, I would still check them. Where are you getting spray paint at $2 per can. The cheap stuff here runs almost $5 and the good stuff can be as expensive as $7-$9. Hammered is about $7.

I hope all of the paint is good still. It would suck to have mismatched paint.

Also, did you buy the cans as a whole box, or just individual cans? I know there is a TJ that I have seen on this forum that is painted in and out in OD, and it has many army touches (blackouts, grill mounted horn ect...) and he bought the cans in a case from napa.

i had been buying them about 4-6 cans at a time and ive had this happen once before so i tossed the can so im not surprised it happened again. however im pretty sure i used this same can on the tube fender and that matches but maybe i picked up a different can
