J,

I was thinking about removing my t case drop aslo.... I bought the jeep with the lift already installed. Are the new bolts the only thing you needed to replace and or remove?

yup just new bolts. someone mentioned that some kits come with a transfer case linkage drop but mine didnt. i beleive that the bolts are 1/2" x 2" but not quite sure. i have the package at home and can check on that later (im at school)

its when your accelerating? its proably not going from 4hi/4lo thats the problem then i woudlnt think.

when you took away the tcase drop maybe all it is is the tcase moving around a bit and its just vibrating something up close to your feet?

well its constant actually. when i first posted about it i had a very short drive so i wasnt able to pay much attention to exactly what it was doing. but i crawled underneath and that rubber thing is missing (if you look at the 4x4xplore link)

So is mine, I get a knock/ vibration sometimes. I don't ever recall seeing that rubber thing though on my Jeep.............

Did you install a T-case linkage lowering bracket with your BL? I didn't, and am looking into the AA T-case relocation bracket because shifting into 4hi/lo brings the suck atm.

after further inspection the list continues to grow as to what the knocking could be. now its either the TBS, front CV joint, or one of the bolts from the torque converter has come loose. tomorrow i shall spend my day figuring it out and fixing it so that i can go wheeling this weekend

well we figured out what the noise was. my cat was rattling against the skid. when i had it put in it had the drop on so it just needs to but raised a little. thankfully it wasnt something more serious or expensive
