nothing new with my jeep, but my dad just sold his JK and got a 98 XJ. awesome right! hes awesome with a welder, so i am very excited to get his jeep up and running. we are negotiating the build now! its gunna be big tho.

d44 out back, arb, 456s, and 35s are already ordered! we are thinking the TNT lift right now.

he also just ordered a tubing bender, so expect some fun xj home made parts soon!!!

Your dad sold his JKand bought an XJ??? I thought Dave was a single case but now your dad? They must have added something in the water up there in Durango to cause middle aged men to lose it!

Gotta mess with you XJ guys.

We recognize a superior wheeling machine when we see it.

Actually it was my wife's JK, she took some of the dogs to the vet' in my '98 and when she got home she was impressed with how much more zip the xj had and how much better the visibility was than her JK. The JK went on the market seriously soon after, we had been discussing selling it to get her a real convertible anyway.

I know Richard's thinking behind getting rid of the JK and I agree completely but I'll let Tyler speak for him.

Tyler, you need to have him send you some pics so you can do a thread on it. Just was emailing back and forth, sounds like a killer rig is in development.

EDIT: If it had been an LJ we never would have gotten rid of it.

i like both the XJ and LJ

it seems the LJ has something i cant put my finger on,but i like them way better than a reg TJ. Also, XJ's seem to take over you once you wheel one(thats why people love the XJ's for the trails lol)

also how's your CB antenna setup?? what cable did you run from the antenna to the radio??

the xj is awesome off road because it has the perfect wheelbase. the lj has that same wheelbase (close enough), a real frame, and the removable top!

i have a cheapy cobra and a firestik, with a really long cable (cant remember how long) to get me to the hatch
