USAFSahara's Slow Buildup
I purchased my 01 Sahara in April of '07. PO was an old lady so this thing had tons of stainless, I think it may have even been a Fortec. Not for sure. It had 1.75'' spring spacers, 31x12.50R15s on aluminum wheels. As of now I have a 4'' RC lift and i retained the spring spacers. Threw on some 16 Pacer Ridgelines and 33x12.50R16s. The Pacers were a bad idea, wrong backspacing so they sat in way to far so i threw the old ones back on for now. Also added a Smittybuilt XRC8, and 4KCs.
Update here, gonna throw in some figures as to what I have spent so far:
Heres some pics: Here it sits stock: ![]() ![]() With one of the new wheels on for comparison: ![]() And now for the lift- Had a small complication during lift, axle moved to the side a little bit so a small hoist and pull it back: ![]() And now after the lift in its current state except the wheels, the old ones are on it now: ![]() ![]() And here it is disco'd ![]() So how do you guys like it?

At your third to last picture. The side view, why is your rear axle moved forward a few inches. Our wheel base is short enough as it is! Lol.

And I took the "Hippy" yellow covers and got these:
![]() With the new Smittybilt winch plate, maybe this time the winch will fit better... ![]() And got her some new 16x8 Cragers that have 5'' Backspacing ![]() And for those of you with a spice or tan interior I recommend this: ![]() ![]() Also, these are 285/75 R16 Tires shouldn't they stick out a bit or are the Sahara's flares just that wide? ![]()

I think the Shara flares are wider, not sure on that though...I know you spent some coin already on this setup....but I would really get some Rokmen rear lower control arms that will put that axle back in a better position, just my 2 cents though...I like that you got rid of some that "Bling" on there! Good buildup man!

I need a good bolt on kit. Any suggestions? Running total so far: $3500.

And next week I should be getting the doors and tailgate painted, and I will show how she looks then, and I may even take the spring spacers out and see what she looks like then.

Small update here. Got a new Bestop for it. Back to the factory color on it. The doors and tailgate are getting repainted this spring hopefully.
![]() I kinda like the lighting in this one ![]() Then when I get back from downrange I am gettin the Long Arm Upgrade from Rough Country and hopefully a member on this board (MorningWood) who has been jerking me around for a month will ship my 8.8 and I can show it off. So that's all for now. Tune in later for some better updates.

Very small update, I am just very happy it has finally arrived. Here it is my new chrome grille.
It really just sets the whole frontend off. And its some nice contrast with all the black powdercoat items I have added. Pretty soon its just gonna be the KCs and the grille that are chrome, and yea I have some stainless OEM headlight rings Ima put in to make it look just a tad bit better.![]() ![]() Looks alot better than I thought it would.
