Granted Richland isn't the most difficult wheeling, but it has made me realize one area where I lack. Traction. A front lunchbox locker is without a doubt going to be my next big purchase.

And I need one of those sweet currie tire deflators for when I do air down.

Having an air compressor nearby would have made that hill a whole different story. Clearly lockers weren't the only thing needed.

True, but that hill wasn't the only spot. There were quite a few other times where I was spinning and he was not. That hill was just a lot harder than it looked

Yea it was. It did seem like you were spinning several times. Maybe you got a heavy foot.

how you liking those duratracs overall?

im planning on 33's next year when i get back but im stuck between mtr/k's and dura's. im tired of the swampers and want something more road friendly.

I love them. 0 complaints. If I have my top and windows in I can't even hear them until highway speeds and then it's only slightly. Mud doesn't cake in them at all I seem to have great traction (for open diffs not being able to air down at Richland). I highly recommend them.

You haven't been in real mud yet if you think those tires don't gum up. Try URE when its wet, then try making that statement.

Any tire will gum up with the right kind of mud.

Yes, but we only have 2 kinds of mud around here. Dirty water that wouldnt even stick to a street tire, and red clay mud that will gum up any tire, even my pitbull rockers. There is no in-between.

Hard to beat that clay... not much in PA. But i've found it and regretted it.

The first time I hit Richland I was the only one that kept clean tires. Except for the other guy that had duratracs.

Oh, I'm not saying if they would be good or not. I have no idea. May do great. I just know URE will pack my MTZs quick after rain.
