Well yesterday we got the front bumpstops done. Turns out that I needed 3" extensions. We stacked a 2" body puck and a 1" body and Jake made some self-tapping bolts that worked perfectly. And, to my surprise, the first contact point was tire-fender instead of the shock being collapsed. I believe there was about a half inch of shock showing at full bump. So I guess these Fox shocks really aren't too long after all. I'm happy.

We also got the front uppers installed. And, despite me taking both off at the same time, they went on fairly easily. One axle side had to be widened a little bit to fit, but other than that they fit perfectly. Ill get a pic sometime today.

The biggest issue we had was getting those ****ing coils back in. They just didn't want to go. We had to drop the trackbar and take off the axle side bolts on the uppers to get it to droop enough, then we still had to fight to get it in.

At least nothing broke

My first impressions of the MC arms on road:

The ride is noticeably softer. Not completely ride changing since its only one pair, but definitely improved. Over bumps/imperfections in the road, the front just floats over over them...then the back slams bounces and rattles over them lol.

The ride is also firmer. The past few days I've been driving without a swaybar to see what it's like and before the new arms, the front would lean and roll. Now, the jeep feels like it has a swaybar, not the stock one, but a softer one. Everything feels more tight and controlled.

It may be a placebo effect or something, but it also feels like my wobble around 45mph has improved. It only has happened a few times since yesterday and I've put about 3 hours on the arms already. ~60mph and up feels the same, though. Hopefully I can get the tires rebalanced one of these days and go from there.

Overall I'm genuinely happy with these arms and can't wait to get the rear uppers installed.

Rokmen steering box skid arrived today! Going to install it when it's a big warmer out. Came powder coated which was unexpected since I ordered it bare. Oh well, happy surprise.

As I'm putting money away for the axle swap, ill be doing minor little mods. The next purchase will probably be some frame tie-ins from Barnes, then eventually a tail plate (still not sure from who). Also, while searching around the forum I found a guy who looks to have rotated the stock tail lights and sunken them in almost flush. I think it looks very good and since I'm having trouble finding flush lights I like, I may look into the more and try it. If anyone has any info on it, I'm all ears.

I guess I could always just turn the template if I feel like it.

Why not the Savvy lights? Expensive but they're thinner and LEDs.

That's the thing, too expensive.

I wouldn't do that...if you go that route, it sort of limits your options forever. & stock taillights aren't much to write home about.

I just did some led flush mounts, they were $30 for the tails (or $32) & then I bought some big'ole reverse ligths too. But you could just do the tails & license plate light if you want.

....I have my old led taillights for sale...but they stick out.....if you're committed to cutting a giant hole, flush mount them

Yea, I got to say I'm not a fan of the stock tail lights in any other configuration than stock.
