I think the next time i'll go to harlan is for OSCAR 3. I don't want to wear out the trails there and have them get old. That place is just too much fun.

I think windrock would be a good fall break trip. Or golden mountain.

I've never been to golden mountain, but I'm kinda bored with windrock. Ive been 6 or 7 times now in the last 2 years. Besides, if you go in October it is hot and the trails are bone dry. That leaves a bunch of trails that are too easy for us and a bunch of trails that require 40s and up. The best time for Windrock is December/January since the trails are wet and you have a good chance of getting snow. When I went this past January it snowed and it was an absolute blast. Snow wheeling is awesome, it even makes the gravel access roads fun, and that's saying something right there.

I feel like 2 trips to Harlan a year isn't too much. I want to make a big trip maybe in October and would love to go to Harlan, but if you'd rather hit Windrock that's cool too.

Not so much an awkward rock or tree, but its when you get off camber that your jeep is in fact awkward and exposes that area above and behind your tire

Okay audiophiles and creative minds, I need your help.

My dad and I pulled my tuffy console to measure for the sub. And it's going to be a little tricky.

Here are a couple questions:
Do I really need the sub in a box? If not, will it just rattle the metal and sound like ****?
If no box, would lining the inside with foam help?
Does the box need to enclose the entire sub? Does the bass come out of the front or back is what I'm getting at, because I may not have enough space to enclose the entire sub without getting creative.
How much space should I leave between the front of the sub and the metal grill? I know my 12s used to flex a lot, but I don't know about these.

Here's what I'm working with:

Inside of the console (passenger...driver) the pencil line is how high the e-brake is when not engaged, about 5".

Again, but with the grill (driver...passenger)

Front and back of the sub:

Space between what will be the top of the sub and the bottom of the console area:

And just the rest of the space:

Okay had to get that post done before the app crashed. Here's the dilemma. Basically there isn't enough space to make a proper box and have it centered where it's supposed to be. I have a couple of options I've come up with.

1) No box. Which is why I asked the earlier questions.
2) Not have the sub centered on the grill. But I don't know if that will effect the sound?
3) Cut out all of the obscurities inside (the storage part of the console). Which I'm fine with because all it really is used for is change. There is still some space above for my faceplate/wallet/phone etc.

Thoughts are much appreciated.

That's what I figured. Out of the options, which do you think would be best?

That doesn't help me. I know how to make a box, I just don't have the space for it.
