I can pretty much get a 44 and a Detroit for it for the same price as an ECGS 8.8.
You can get a 8.8, new gears, and a LS for $1,600

He can buy a stock 44 from me and put a brand new Detroit in it for less than that.

Less than I thought. Probably still more than my parents would spend though.

Jesus alright. Why do you always come after my posts. Either that or I'm paranoid.

That's not a bad deal. I'd take it if you could put some 4.10's in it.

I'd go with a 44 if it's an option...I have an 8.8 in mine; I went with it b/c the cost at the time, but I'd prefer a 44 for the size & width. The narrower rear isn't really noticeable (much), but I would still like a 44 better.

I do like the 8.8 & not worrying about it behind my 4.6L

The 44 is 99% the way I'm going. The only way that'll change is if I find a good deal on a built something else.

I see good deals on bolt in 44s and 8.8s pop up on nc4x4 occasionally, but you gotta jump on them quick. I'm talking some of them are already pending sale within a couple hours of being posted.

Checking Pirate right now. MO2500's 44 is VERY tempting.
