Seriously though, that tire deflater spends more time deflating other people's tires than my own.

Just got under the jeep and found some lateral movement in the TRE on the knuckle. This is probably the culprit.

So I'm in the middle of the TRE install and I can get the castle nut past the hole for the cotter pin easily. Should I stop, or continue until its tight?

Torque it to spec... If its not lined up then see if you can tighten or loosen it an itty-bitty bit so they line up. At least thats what I do.

Maintain, wheel, upgrade, repeat.

Correct, minus the whole loosen thing. You should never loosen a castle nut on a tapered fitting to line up the hole, otherwise you completely lose the advantage of a tapered fitting.

I got it torqued last night. The wobble is still there, but is definitely better. Heading back to school today, so it'll be a couple weeks before I can do anything else.
