I went out there once and it started pouring rain so they closed it down. They are very strict on no mudding, which is fine by me. I was out there for 20mins so I didn't get to explore much, I'll try to make it back out there some time. They go every other weekend and it's free so why not. Favorite place I've been to so far is Bridgeport, back north of Ft Worth.
If you can't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them! Cavasar's TJ
Just dropping in to say nice build. And congrats on the baby, house, etc.
Have you found a front axle yet? I'm looking forward to watching your JK swap. Keep up the good work
Thank you! I appreciate it. We have been some crazy busy fools. Luckily since my wife is home on maternity leave, she is able to unpack a couple boxes during the day.....a couple. The baby seems to sense when she is trying to be productive and puts a stop to that.
It is the greatest gift having two children!
I have not found a front axle yet. They are pretty much like gold. I have a small handful of people looking for one for me...including a local axle shop.
I am actually still considering sticking with the previous plan of the 8.8 and TJ d44 front. I don't think I will have much trouble selling the JK D44 if I do that.
A couple more Poison Spyder parts came in. Not that I am diehard PSC or anything, but their hawse fairlead is the same price as most out there, even 'cheapo' brands, but theirs is mostly black, which I like, and I trust it to be manufactured as to not mess up the synthetic line. Just not sure about the quality of the real cheap ones.
I also got their hawse lightbar mount for my 13" bar. It is not a direct fit for my light, but I have another piece to that puzzle.
As soon as Motobilt starts making this stuff, I will make the switch over
yes sir. I am going back with the original plan of the 8.8 rear/TJ d44 front. I have less than 500 miles on my wheels and tires. Among other things, it doesn't make sense to ditch those just to rebuy them for a different wheel and tire to work with the JK axles.
