My package from Northridge4x4 came in yesterday. I was excited because I actually had time to install it, but soon got completely bummed out when I realized they did not include the template to cut the hood.

A quick call to PSC and one is being mailed to me.

Good news for me and a big thumbs up to Poison Spyder Customs.....as soon as I realized the template was not in the box, I called PSC. The CS person told me they would send one out right away. Around lunch today, the FedEx guy dropped off a tube from PSC with the template. I was very impressed that they shipped it overnight for me.

In more good news, my Genright Trail Stinger came in.

Not too much with my Jeep. Just been enjoying driving it in the nice weather lately. I did get the PSC louver mounted, but it's not complete yet because half of the stainless hardware stripped or broke.

Unrelated to my Jeep, but fun anyway....I am rebuilding a little go-kart for my son.

It was given to me like this:

A little while later...this:

I am working on it in the maint. shop at work so my son doesn't know about it. It was hauled over to the sandblast and paint dept. They are blasting it and then will paint it black. I will reassemble from there. It needs a complete rewire, and then it will be ready to roll.

Bad pictures, but here is the louver all done.
I ended up having to buy new stainless hardware for about half of the bolt holes. The fine thread combined with weak hardware overall does not make for a good mix. The course thread stainless I picked up worked great.

I have also started working out my cowl intake. It is being created using a combo of these parts....(I do need to pick up one more connector to complete it).

I am hoping to get started on the hi-line fenders in the days following Christmas. I am trying to knock out all of the associated mods to allow the fenders to take their place.

The intake will be done shortly.
I have the hood pins, so they will be installed next.
I just ordered the windshied washer bottle from ebay today.
I need to pick up the hood trim from the parts store.
The last thing to work out is the battery tray and ABS tray. I am considering ordering the brackets that come with the AEV hi-line kit.

Oh, getting these Black Rock rims for Christmas....

Decided to skip the steelies on this Jeep and go with an alloy. I like the fresh take on the still useful, but outdated steel d-window wheels. The lighter alloy material will also be welcomed.

I will be running them without the center cap.

Also, seeing them on Imped's rig sold me pretty good.

They will look best wrapped in some new Goodyear MT/Rs in the spring, but they will still be a nice change for my current GY Silent Armor tires.

Not much to report. The new windshield washer bottle came in (thanks for the link Imped)....it's new, just dirty.

Waiting for the break to start tearing into the front of the Jeep.
Other than the battery tray solution, the other various loose ends are taken care of.

I really like that bumper/hoop setup I can't wait to see it done. Those Black Rock's will look good, I've got some Black Rocks...a different wheel, but I think black alloy's are awesome

I gave the Jeep a little attention this weekend in the form of an oil change and bath. I almost hate washing it because I see how bad the paint is. It looks good from a few feet away, but up close it gets rough.

My wife kickin' butt at the range. Don't judge her form. It was her first time handling a gun....of any kind. I was a proud man!

(Shooting my Christmas present from her....S&W Shield .40)
