Johnny joints or duroflex. They are 40$ a piece and I need 8. And schedule 80 pipe
A few years back I bought up some schd. 80... I found it bent much easier in my bender than schd. 40...i had original bought it for links but only used it for tiebars and sliders..both of which bent...I thought it would be stronger....I will use 40 in a sec tho depending on length...and don't let them "pirate boys" hear you mention using black pipe for links...Lmfao....I dont know if anyone else has had this same experience...but I thought I would share....maybe I got a bad batch or maybe it was Mexican steel, I'm not sure...the stuff was heavy and almost 1/2 thick...other than that it was my only experience with it...only reason I mentioned the ruff stuff kit was it came with all those pimp brackets, weld in bungs, joints, jams, tubes, etc...it just looked like a nice kit...one I will probably use someday....now if I could get my hands on couple of nice machines...I'd be selling kits...I just don't see how you can charge someone $50 for a bracket that has $2 in steel and maybe 10 minutes of labor......it's like whap ya throw a sheet of plate on burn table, you hit start...you pick up your pieces(after cooling or just throw em in a 5gal bucket o water)..knock of the slag(very little depending on torch quality)...carry em over to your little hydraulic plate/rod bender grab the right jig and boom 30min later you have a whole box of em...burn table does all the work...
Be carefull while Hugging the Trees...They leave dents on your Jeep....
Shhhhhh I'm not crazy...It's just the voices in my head
Whats next, sell the yj for a kj? Then the kj for a civic? At least get the cj running and driving... I didn't follow the cj thread all that time for nothin'.

I have the goal to get this thing done by march. And if I have the cj to work on I will put money into it too and not get the crawler done. The cj sits and that's all it's going to do. We won't drive it very often. If I sold it I wouldn't sell it if someone offered me less than 4250$. There isn't a whole lot I can do with it that now that won't start taking away from the originality.
Well got the truss last Wednesday!! Amazing pirce of metal it it fits perfectly!! Thanks to Pat at TTR (Trucks and Trail Rigs) in Lees Summit Mo. Cleaned the axle up and checked all the bearings. All are brand new!! Tomorrow going to spend $530 on link brackets and joints at TTR. Sold a bunch if stuff to get this money.
Today bought a tranny and tcase for 160$ another 700r4 'K' case 4wd. So ill sell the 2wd one and the Chevy NP208c transfer case. And I can now mount up the tranny and tcase to the engine now!
Would probably be easier to make out of sheet metal. Glad there's an xj in the yard.
Yeah but fiberglass would be a feat and keep the weight down.
I like the xj it has a brand new 4.0 in it with only 500 miles on it and I have another in the shop now if you wanna come buy it along with a 258 of you wanna build a stroker
