Air shocks weren't designed for prolonged use on, say for example, an all day outing. If you go slow and easy, they work pretty well, but if you want to get anywhere at a medium or faster speed, they get hot and they loose their "squish" and don't flex very well. Coilovers have damping fluid that absorbs a ton more heat, and can be used all day long for crawling and jamin on trails. Remote reservoir coilovers are designed for all out mobbing! The extra fluid keeps them even cooler during prolonged heavy use.

I did a bit of research on this and was bummed to find out people who bought air shocks for anything other than short run competition crawling were disappointed with them and always wished they had bought coilovers.

They aren't a no-go. They're just a slow go. I always crawl really slow, so I'd still consider them for my application.

For a minute there I thought you said you were spending $846 on shocks.
Are they looking for any good help wherever you work?

I have a pair of used 14" Fox air shocks I will sell. 2.5 diameter which you will need for anything other than a light weight buggy. Let me know if you are interested.

Yesterday was my last day at work actually. But I'm confused by what you just said.

In a month or so I'm going to start applying to be a welder.
