The NP231 is clocked at 13* on YJ's. The NP242 is clocked at 23* on XJ's. So it hangs down an inch or so more. I just "massaged" the plate a bit

Well....it was raining the early part of my weekend (thurs/friday) so I decided to do something in the shed out of the rain. Here is what I have mocked up so far.

Going to reinstall the stock fenders and brushwackers. The brushwackers allow plenty of stuff room.

I replied to your other post. As for your wiring....it's different than mine. Your working with the non H.O. system (renix) and mine was the H.O. motor. They changed in 91 or 92 I think. It is still pretty basic tho.

1. Ignition 12v wire
2. Ignition start/run wire
3. Ground
4. Fuel pump wire and ground
5. Neutral saftey switch wire

Work on getting those hooked up first....then track down the rest. Remember, its three things....

Fuel, Spark, Ignition

You won't have to touch either the wires in the cherokee dash, or the the wrangler dash. As for the harness, relay...etc. I took everything out of the wrangler. I then took it all out of the cherokee and transplanted it into the YJ. Try not to overanalyze it.

Nice looking Jeep!

Jeez TombRaider that thing's looking great!

From what I've read the AW4 won't hold 1st when you have it in 1-2 position. Check out AW Shifting www.awshifting.com

I've got his kit and it allows you to manually control which gear you want and lock up the tranny in any gear. Should be just the ticket for my swap into my YJ (I don't have the TCU).

Cheers!
