I so wanted to take my top down this weekend too as it was unseasonably warm. But it was supposed to snow today and tomorrow and I didn't want to go through the hassle. Very excited to see the finished product! I hope to have mine all setup no later than April, hopefully in March.

I just got these sliders also, and im trying to figure out what the strange cutout is for. It didnt show on the ebay ad. Doesnt appear to fit aimed at the back.
Also wondering if you had to cut down that body mount

it's so if fits around the stock flare after you remove the extension. I just loosened the 3 side body mounts used a prybar to lift the body and slid the slider into place then gave it a nice kick to ensure it was fully seated. Then drilled and bolted everything together

Your gonna miss the hardtop. At least on long trips, trying to talk to the passenger.
One advantage to the soft top; When it snows and ya have a pesky tailgater , ya hit the top with your fist and the snow goes all over the car behind you. Sometimes I miss doing that.
Question; Do you still have the spare-tie stop bracket (pass side) ? I need one of those .
Here's a pic of my square eyed pair.

I won't miss the hardtop, I prefer soft tops. The hardtop takes up too much space to store and for long trips I have the XJ to take. Road noise does not bother me I ran a bikini on my 95 year round for few years and grew up riding in a CJ3b and cj5 as for that bumper it's in my garage somewhere

x2

hardtop= highway mode (winter). heavier top, so the jeep sits lower, and is more areao-dynamic.

If I had a cherokee too I'd probably leave the wrangler in the garage all winter with no top! and then bust it out as a tow vehicle for the few days of awesome urban skiing/snowboarding when the plows haven't made it through yet
