I'm more than capable of doing the Job, I've installed several lifts on plenty of Jeeps in the past from CJ's, YJ's, TJ's, ZJ,'s XJ's. I just don't have the time or venue to do it.
Sorry, I wasn't indicating that you might not know how to install the lift. Just offering to help so you could get it done.

i have a stock 98 Cherokee classic, with 8.25 rear and i am in the market for a lift kit as well. This will be my first time lifting a jeep and was wondering if buying your lift in parts is the best way to go? Im swamped with all the selection and am looking for any guidance i can get. I know i want a 3.5 lift and to replace the leafs, and shocks and after reading your post my parts list looks like this
RE Coils
RE Leafs
Shocks
Extended break lines
New Ubolts and Tracbar

2 Other Items you are missing are Lower control arms , an a Transfer case drop.
I am using those 2 items off of my current lift that is on my Jeep which is why they are not on my list of parts. I figure since I am going to a longarm setup within a year or so I figured there is no point in replacing the lower control arms that are on the Jeep

I did a little wheeling today @ the 5 Mile Pass OHV in Utah I stuck to Rattlesnake which is a cake walk IMO I will go to more challenging trails Once I get my new lift an sliders installed. I did suffer a little trail damage (P/S front flare popped off )

Crispy your XJ is clean ! My crossmember has a few nasty gouges in it now from some rocks at 5 Mile Pass this past weekend .

Here's a few shots I took with my IPhone from sundays run I never had a chance to get the ones my Stepfather has on his camera before he flew back to baltimore. It was his first wheeling trip , He has already said once he moves out here to Utah He's buying a Jeep for us to build for him an he miss's his XJ that was totaled in an accident ( He was sitting at a red light an a Silverado 3500 rear eneded it going 45mph the driver never touched the brakes he was too busy texting) so I have a Feeling I will be finding an XJ for him.

Today I had installed my Rigid fabrication sliders with the help of a friend the install went well but I did have to massage the floor pan a tad to get the slider to fit as designed . My favorite feature is how the bottom of the slider is flush with the bottom of the pinch rail , An I can already tell they stiffened up the XJ a bunch !

Follow this thread tomorrow as I intend to test them
