It looks like The weekend of July 13th I will be doing a good bit of wrenching on the XJ .

Installing the header, Adjustable Upper control arms, Replacing the bushings on the Lower Control Arms, and On the Axle

The wife is starting to get DW caused by trashed bushings that I finished off in moab !

Small update I just ordered some new parts for the Xj

Teraflex Adjustable Lower Control arms to match my uppers , and a IRO, Solid Tierod to replace my bent one. So it looks like next weekend will be a long one installing the header and upper and lower adjustable arms, and the tierod.

Good to know I read a bunch of great reviews. I've been running a bent stock. Tierod for a few months now. Someone offered to give me a rustys one for free but I passed it up after the tre insert stripped out after a few months. And they wouldn't warranty it on my Tj. So I will never use rustys products.

x2. My IRO rod has taken some nice hits. The stock rod made me too nervous to wheel with after it had a close encounter a a couple months ago. Diff cover took the hit, thatll be my next thing to get, mines got a nice dent now.

Looking good Tom, im jealous of the header and Teraflex arms.

Thanks,

My wife likes to use the tierod as a rock feeler gauge instead of listen to the spotter. This Tierod will be Temp until I can afford to go One Ton OTK steering when I go Longarm.

I hope I have enough time to get the header installed, But if I don't have enough time I may take a 30 minute drive to my favorite OHV BLM area to test the new parts

Tonight I got my Iro tierod in thanks to lots of fighting rust the ends were frozen even after soaking for weeks with kroil and pb blaster. Tomorrow the fun stuff. Axle bushings and upper and Lower control arms and aligning. Maybe a shake down run at my favorite local ohv area.

Well lastnight I somehow managed to cross thread my tierod ends so yea. I had to order a new one. Remember never wrench after too many adult beverages bad things happen lol.

Today Brady (90lsturbo) came over to start on the adjustable arms we will finish tomorrow Also we found that he can make the guts of a deadblow become external.

My XJ had been a little sloppy but today I will finish the Control arms and I'll have to wait until Wednesday for my 2nd IROTierod to come in since I stripped the threads on the one in the pic below threading it on the ends that were on the XJ. So Wenesday night I get so take it for a ride to see how she drives.
