First thing I did was paint the wheel black. Just sanded the stock jeep wheels down real well and cleaned them up. Put about 3 course of satin black paint

Next we did a bastard pack lift kit. Took old springs from a Rodeo ($100 for both at junkyard) and a friend had some springs and spacers off of a parts jeep. We had to cut the eyes of the rodeo springs and put those in between the jeep main and #2

Actually followed this write up for the leafs
http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/f6...ck-maybe-9744/

The front we just put the new springs with spacer on and done well almost. Also got some new skyjacker hydro shocks to put on as well
These photos are during and before lift

Now I am getting some popping noise coming from the front after install. I have hear its my track bar a couple times but don't have the 200$ for ask track bar right now. Also getting son light sloppy steering as well?? We did have to drill a new whole where the track bar mounts on the passenger side. The new whole was drilled and half inch towards the driver side so that it would fit correctly

Next I ordered tires. I went with 31x10.50r15s mtr kevlar tires for the sidewall strength. I know people with km2s and they swear by em but I had a good feeling about the kevlars and so far they've been great!

After takin her up to Evans ORV park I realized that the ores were hitting the metal so it was time to do some cutting. Just masked off the area I wanted to cut and went though it with sawsall. After the cuttin was done used a file around the edge to get rid off that sharpness

Also want to mount some drings to the frame where my sway bar used to mount thus if I can find a welder tomorrow. Alo order led lights to replace my dome/map lights so ill write that out when they arrive.

Still haven't gotten around to cutting the rear fenders or found a welder for the drings. Thinking about just ordering the smittybuilt xrc bumper with winch mount. I did finally relocate my vacuum ball today though. Put in the engine bay behind the battery.

So got the new bumper in today. Why is it nothing with an xj is as simple as unbolt and rebolt back up haha?? Little bit of drilling had to be done and a lot of prying and hammering. It wouldn't have been so bad if PO hadn't wrecked it and where the passenger side of the bumper bolted up was tweaked REAL bad!! But good news is after a little hard work and a little adjusting, it's on.

After getting the front bumper on last night I decided it needed the winch faster than iron ally planned so went out today to find one. Checked out Harbor Freight and they had a 12,000lb winch on sale. Decided to check out some reviews and such. From what I got online mos people don't have a problem with theirs. Also, talked to an uncle that has the same one. He said he had a Warn before he got this one and the only difference he notices between the two is that the warn was a little faster which I'm not too worried about. I'm already stuck waiting a little longer for the spool to unwind isn't really an issue haha.
Mounting was simple. It lined right up with the holes on the new Smittybuilt XRC bumper. Got it put in like 30 minutes then took it up to the trails to give it a quick test. Pulled it well and even got to move a fallen tree off the trail with it. Happy happy happy

Switched out my rear brake line with a 95 wrangler line to get a little bit of an extension.

Need some help. I'm getting a lot of tire rub in the front on the frame when turning...is buying off set wheels the easiest way to fix this? and if so any suggestions on what wheels and what offset to get? Thank you in advance
