The banter is really part of the fun of having a build thread as long as it stays near topic and within reason. The way you formatted the first 10 posts to be edited as time goes on will ensure that no matter the banter, it is readable.

I'll kick back now and watch you handle this like a BOSS. Good luck to you, Hendrix. Try and make Recoil build his own...both of you building rigs like this at the same time would be BOSS HOSS.

easy man. they are ruffstuffs xj leaf hangers - mine don't have the little slider though that they've included, must have added that recently. Its a good idea tho.

mounted.

Smoke mounted his facing the other way, but isnt thrilled about it - works more like a slider this way.

Its the only decent one I have - if you need more I can get a couple for ya when I get home. Good nuff?

are you going with a BTF rear xmember?

Thanks, maybe easier to buy them then. Nope, going with frame mounted like Kyle's TJ. With 1" YJ shackles.

Just get about an 8in piece of 2 2/4in i.d. box tube, cut it diagonally and bam! you have 2 spring hangers. That's how I made mine.

Gribbles only gets on JF in the winter months. Probably planning for what he will do to his Jeep in the spring, Rushing to get it done the day before he has a big wheeling trip.

Kyle has a very stock looking Jeep with a Ninja stretch.

Going to see what I can come up with as far as spring mounts and box tube for the rear part of the frame.

Does this imply that we don't have stock-looking Jeeps? Or we're not Ninja's? edit... more banter!

Good luck buddy. If you're used to doing custom 3/4 links, this will be cake.

Well, Kyle's is just more stock looking than not. Which is what I love about his Jeep.

Yours is just BADASS That's all.

Gribbles is just...well special like him.

Just kidding bud.

And simple is why I decided on leafs.

Edit: I like cake.

Yeah, winter months really when I do JF. Spring is just around the corner - I better get to thinkin about what to change next.

I wish mine where a ninja jeep....

You ever fix the fuel pump wires? And put the tailgate back on?

Back to the topic at hand.

I have a new idea for the bed. I just need to run the angles by the guy at the metal shop to see if his press-brake can handle the task of bending the like factory lip on the top edge of the bedsides. If so this will speed up the building of the bed a ton.

Oh and the color will be gunmetal gray.

Stay tuned....

Is the gray the one that you helped me find?

I'm looking for axles now and a parted out/crashed jeep. I'll hopefully have a pile of parts by this summer. Plan is a juggy. Enough tube that it's not a TJ enough TJ that it's not a buggy

Same color on the panels but the tube would be a little different
