i never thought of this!

i bought 3 hard tops and 2 sets of hard doors for $450. i will have 2 sets of doors/top after i do some extensive repairs. the 3rd top would have been trashed if i hadn't seen this post.

what an amazing idea to chop it down for a half top. i will be following that part of your build with great interest.

Finally got around to cutting out the passengerside cab close out panel. I think I may weld it in tonight. I have been putting it off forever. With it welded in I can finish the body work on the cab.

Got it all tacked in tonight along with setting up where the rear frame section will be positioned. I will finish up the welding tomorrow night along with a ton of spot welds in the inside of the tub. Then I need to finish up some filler panels on the inside of the tub. After that it's picture time.

Got dibs on a steelhorse 2 piece top that's in bad shape. Freebie.... It will make a great top to cut up and make a half cab. I may attempt to keep the top 2 piece, but my gut is telling me it will probably be better to just make it all one piece.

Great work so far Hendrix. When you painted your wheels what grit sandpaper did you use to prep the wheels?
