Sticking with a 97-99. I was going to swap to the coil pack style. But seems like more work.

Stick with what you got, why make more work than necessary. The Dumpster is going to take plenty of your free time as it is. You can always (I am sure you will) make refinements as time goes by.

I labeled most of what I need from you at the moment. Maybe see if I can pick those up at Coal Creek in OCT? I need a TB also unless I go with an aftermarket one.

Engine harness 97-99
Under hood harness 97-99
Dash harness or tub harness 97-99
Throttle body

Got the frame under the bed all sketched out on grid paper today while I was doing nothing else. It looks really simple. All the steel is laying in the garage floor. As soon as I make time to go to Indy I will have a pure Jeep tank and skid for her. The problem now is what to do about a rear bumper? Do I run a PS brawler style or a crossmember style like Flop? I am thinking about a Simple crossmember between the rails then figure out the bumper later. Personally I like the Arb or PS brawler bumpers because of the full coverage and step.

John, if you're getting the tank from james, i might be able to swing by or meet someone somewhere and i can bring it down with me for vacation. I'll be heading to pigeon forge, the week of the 12th.

Yes, I am actually. I have plans to go pick it up soon. Just don't know when.

May have another change. Builds are fun, so much fun. You guys know I have been itching to put a V8 in one of them. So here's the latest news. I went to MIssouri to see the parents and bumped into some high school buds. Got to talking about Jeeps and come to find out my bud has a couple low mileage Chevy 5.3 complete motors just laying around. One is going in his stretched CJ5 with tons and the other will make its way into Dumpster this Fall. Woohoo... I originally wanted a 5.3. Pretty stoked again.

Guys with the parts I need I will be sending PMs soon.

Same engine I'm hoping to put in mine sometime. Just have to freshen the one I've got in our suburban since it's still going with 330,000 miles on it. Awesome engines with good, smooth power in stock form

Complete 5.3 LS Vortec. I need to locate a good 4L60 to put behind it, and a stronger TCase.

Why not use a TH400 and a nice Atlas 4? I hear the 4L60 isn't really known for strength... It might not be an issue for you, but I know I wouldn't be able to keep my foot out of it.

Here is a thought Johnny, take your time to draw up a plan on paper then stick to it, will save you a ton of time and money. If Floppy taught you anything a clear direction saves a ton of time and effort.
