Yeah, the cab to bed transition is fugly. But, the Jeep as a whole looks close to what I imagined. I have a plan to add a permanent roll bar with some clean lines in the bed. And a hard top would be muey bueno.

My design has about 4 inches longer bed also.

I'll be interested to see what you do for the roll bar. Your eye for detail and clean appearance is almost unparalleled, so I'm sure it will be as attractive and complimentary as it will be functional.

Look for simple roll bent tubing for the cage sweeping back like a fast back, double tube over head in the cab with roll bent spreaders. Lots of simple clean lines. Nothing real cluttered.

Not returning to work on this Jeep till Sept or Oct. then it will be a 3-4 day a week till the deadline. Should go pretty quick I have most of the parts to get her rolling.

Parts left to buy:

Rebuild kit and SYE for the 231
Rear DS
Front Fox resi shocks
Fuel pump
Fuel lines
Brake lines
Tube for the track bar
Boomerang shackles
Hydro boost brakes (99-01 ram truck ) pull a part
Seats
Tube for cage
Poly lower CA frame brackets
Truck lights
Savvy tail lights
Xenon rear flares
33-35 inch tires

Source from Jeep junk yard:

Dash pieces (located) barrows
Column (located) barrows
Dash wire harness (located) jankoid
Cluster (located) Art
01 XJ console pull a part
engine harness (located) jankoid
AC compressor(located) barrows
Condenser (located) barrows
Under hood harness (located) jankoid
E brake handle and cables. Davey's jeeps

And the list of Fabrication is way longer........

Thinking it will actually be one halo hoop from the windshield uprights, then 2 straight B hoops kicked back a little. Just depends on if I can fit it all under the custom half cab.
