I finished up the tailgate welding project tonight. I will find time to do the body work on it sometime this week. I also need to order the swag tailgate kit sometime this week. I also hooked the trailer up to the explorer tonight. So I will be bringing the bed home to meet up with the cab for the first time. I will probably have pictures of the two parts together sometime this weekend.
Stay tuned.......

Is the hood on this one getting the same amount of work that the one on flop did? Like welding the lip back on and stuff.

What parts of the Swag tailgate setup are you going to use? In my book the latch setup he came up with is hokey

Just the hinges and the cables. The kit I ordered does not have latches.

It's solid. Mine has never rattled, so no complaints here. I didn't want something that latched from the inside of the gate for the times when I had the top on. But I don't have a top now so it doesn't really matter.

Surprise delivery from FedEx today. They were not supposed to be here till Monday. Guess i can finally get the body bolted down to the frame and body lift at the same time.
Genright TJ body mounts with 1" lift.
Now if anyone has some factory body bushings? I need 2 of the main and 4 of the smaller ones.
And the deal is sealed on the Jk30. I will pick it up next weekend. It will be getting sleeves, a JJ kit, inner gussetts, and beef lower CA mounts. I also got something special for the Flop so she don't get jealous.

Forgive my ignorance, but are the new generations of D30 JK axles stronger than the old D30 front axles? It looks you're adding some serious beef, but why not just go jk44 front? Availability? Cost?
Great colour choice, btw.
