Now I have another puzzling issue. When I drive for more than an hour with idling and cruising my power steering gets pretty stiff, like I can feel the steering and tires. Normally and when I first start the Jeep there is very little feeling in the steering wheel. I have a complete PSC hydro assist steering with the Extreme steering gear box.

Sounds like you may be getting air in the system.

Could the fluid be getting too hot and or foaming?

x2, check the temp and condition of the fluid when it starts to fade. Pardon my laziness, I could go back and look for it but are you running any type of cooler?

Yes, but I think the location of my reservoir is a bad idea. I mounted it above the intake manifold next to the throttle body. I think it's heating the fluid up to unsafe levels. I am running the PSC cooler across the front of the radiator behind the grille.

I say start by either moving the reservoir or build a heat shield for it.

Yeah, I went there first. Didn't like the explanation. It's not my cps, cause I have no other issues except the no bus code.

Thanks though, we have it narrowed down to a couple wires I need to locate on my homemade AW4 harness.

Here is where I mounted my reservoir with the Rokmen Hilines. It also allowed for a really short hose to the pump.


I know there isn't a lot of space once you go with the hilines but this seems to be working for me pretty well.
