Well, with this one I am trying to keep the cost/ budget low. The other is a money pit no doubt.

I am already

Moving along nicely. The bed looks great, and using the taco bed looked like it has worked just right. How are you going to attach the composite bed to the metal side panels? Automotive structural adhesive?

Yes, ASA...made by SEM. It is used for attaching door skins and SMC to metal. It's a really good overall structural adhesive. I will be sure to document all that. I will also have more pictures to add by Sunday...

Thanks Brad.

Now the more I look at LJs this Jeeps overall length should not be much longer or the same. I guess a measurement I could use would be (fender seam to rear corner body seam.) Then I could see about how much difference there is.

Anyone got time to measure for me?

Flipped the bed assembly over and cleaned up the end of the bed. I used a straight edge and a grinder to clean up the end. I also cleaned up and filled the raised spots of the bed to cap the ends of the floor later on today.

Here is the product I will be using throughout the bonding process.

Another couple pictures. I did not get much time today to work on it. But, I did get the crossmember mocked up. I also finished off the end of the bed floor.

Yes, the pictures are upside down. I did not want to flip it just for a picture. But, just for the record I can pick it up by my self.

Tincy wincy lil update....The bed is 90% done. Just some little finish work on a few things and some body work. I did end up rolling the wheel opening. That added a lot of strength to the side panels.

Full update with pictures on Sunday.
