Got the Gas tank and skid painted last night along with cleaning up the knuckles and spraying a heavy coat of paint on them.

Got the passenger side ball joints installed tonight. What a Pain in the ***. Anyway, after that I installed the passenger shaft, knuckle, steering , unit bearing and brakes. I need to pick up a 13/16 drill bit to cut the hole for the Tierod Flip, then it's sexy time on the hydro assist install. I installed the Pitman arm tonight for the first time after fully welding it and painting. It looks and fits oh so good. Installed the gas tank tonight also. Busy night, but I am getting there.

I am getting anxious now.

Found a 231D at the pick a part yard today, it's in a 4x4 Durango. Looks like I will go back Monday and pull it. Any suggestions on SYEs? I do not need a super short one because the DS is over 30" long. But, what's a good brand that won't break the bank?

Ordered a good Double flaring kit to make all the Brake lines for the Jeep so I will be doing that in a week or so. Still need to find a good place to buy wire to build the AW4 harness.

Parts I still need.

Volvo Fan
Air intake tube of some kind.

I'd go crown. Crown supposively has the best casting, and I love mine. Great price. Carolina driveline will do a sye and drive shaft combo for 300 shipped I think. You send in the measurement of the shaft you need and they send you it within 3 days. Great guys at that shop that do great work.

no doors, no top, no problems

Also, something to keep an eye out for if you want, 6 pinion planetary gears out of a 96 or newer Ram/Silverado 2500 with the 241.

Going with the Crown unit and a custom shaft from my local DS guy.

Cleaned shop today and washed the Jeep in the garage and cleaned the floor. It's time for all the little things to get it running.

Brake lines
Fuel lines
Trans cooler
Rad hoses
Steering sector shaft
Custom built exhaust
