After spraying both Raptor and Al's, I like how easy Raptor sprays on but I can tell Al's is going to hold up way better. Raptor comes as a colored base with an activator, the Al's comes with a primer, resin, catalyst, activator, and color. Al's has one hell of a potent smell to it too, I had to wear a respirator to spray it.

I have to second that. I have used both. The raptor didnt hold up in my last jeep. I went with Al's in this one.

Also spray fast. It doesn't have a long pot life at all. Also coat the hopper with Valvoline, Almost forgot to do that when I did mine. Makes clean up easy.

What weight did you use? Syn, conventional, or syn-blend? I used vasoline and it worked just fine for me

Neutral kit not black.

forumrunner_20130221_182445.jpg

Spray on primer

forumrunner_20130221_182526.jpg

The blackness.....

Just for the record... I hate DIY bedliner it just sucks. I have sprayed the professional liners and it took me this kit to remember that they really suck as DIY. Just FWIW buy the kit with the hopper. The Schulz gun will not spray the liner correctly.

The morning after she looks so much better. I was kinda disappointed last night with the way it looked. But, today she looks Tits. Very pleased with the kit.

Just a few pointers.

1: Don't listen to advice from uneducated paint suppliers. Unfortunately I almost did. If I had followed there advice I would have to recoat the inside again.

2: Do not attempt this at any temperature above 70 degrees.

3: MUST use the supplied gun when available, do not use any other type gun.

If all the above happens, then follow your gut. I added a pint of black toner used to mix base coat, and a quart of urethane reducer to get the bedliner to lay down like I wanted it to. The reducer evaporated quickly leaving nice smooth but textured coating.

Now I can start building up the inside of the tub.

Edit: Fixed my horrible grammar.

Don't listen to the paint store on technical issues. (Are store is dumb.)

Looks like factory quality work but better.
