Got the upper control arms and brackets cut out today.

Cut the weld washers out also. I double the thickness of the 3/16,plate by adding a reinforced plate to the back side of the inner part of the upper mount and weld washer to the outer part. I believe it will be strong and last for many years.

Nope, had I worked as hard on this and the long hours like I did on Flop then Yes. That's why we picked Jeep Beach.

She is ready for some bedliner.

forumrunner_20130220_094135.jpg

Just need to sand the top rail, then its time to spray the stinky stuff. I prepped the inside of the tailgate also. My nutsert tool will be here tomorrow, then I can finally install the tailgate.

I also got my fish plates for the back section of the frame yesterday. I can finish the back half this weekend.

Plan is to chop off the front section of frame after fighting it for uptravel for the last time last night. With keeping the Jeep as low as I want I need more room between the frame and axle, not to mention the Oil pan is only 4" from the axle tube. If I make my own front section I can push the axle out past the harmonic balancer, keep about 5-6 inches of uptravel at the frame and save myself a ton of headaches. Then when she's ready to grow up to big boy axles its only a axle change away. All the WB and frame modification will already be done.

What brand bedliner are you using? Also, what brand guns do you like? I use Devilbiss Compact HVLP and like it alot.

Looking awesome man, I can't wait to lay my eyes on this. You'll probably get non-stop trade begs for hours.

Ended up with Als bedliner. Not my first choice, but I will give it a try. I only use Sata Jet spray guns. First used them in 95 and never looked back. It took about a year and a free gun to get me to use an Iwata Lph. But, its a great gun also.

AL's isn't bad. It's pretty tough ****. I'd do it before I'd do Raptor or monster liner.

Rear Currie 4" coils - 190 shipped. (They've been sitting in the back of my Jeep for mock up but won't work out for me.)

Hornblasters Shocker S4 horn set with some extras $210 shipped. (It is not OBA, just an accessory for OBA)

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

IndyORV- Dick and fart jokes, titties, throttle, flops, beer, tater balls, and good times.

If I could do it all over, I'd go to Linex. That stuff puts any of the DIY stuff to shame. Until then, I wouldn't worry about bedlining the tub. It's overrated IMO. But from the DIY stuff I've seen, Al's is good ****.

Maybe, I did a bit more measuring tonight. It all comes down to where I can make the steering box fit. If I can maintain the front section as is, I would be happy. But, I am trying to keep in mind Bigger Axles in the future without all the added work later.

BTW, the other look just as I hoped. Great work.

I'd say it's better to have second thoughts before one passes the point of no return.

I'm glad to hear the others meet your expectations, and am looking forward to seeing where they'll end up.
