Got some sexy fish plates cut out buy JF member. WeldedUp. Thanks so much. It's time to finish the back of the frame.

These plates make the frame flow between the factory section and the new 2x3 rear section.

Then you should definitely stay away from the the rat rod photo thread.

cj7's are way more common than the pre 50's cj's.

like i said, that thing is pretty damn sweet and a lot of work obviously went into it. i would still rather see it restored.
you are correct however. the rat rod build is probably not the kind of build i will be interested in following, however interesting and different it may be. i also usually only follow your run of the mill resto, v8 swap, axle swap, ect. so i suppose i could be closed minded towards a jeep being built for other than it's factory intention.

i don't know how to not sound condescending in text, but i am not trying to.

i definitely do enjoy this tj truck build though, cannot wait to see more.

I am probably done with projects after this one. If I do anything after this truck it will be an Ultra4 car or RockBouncer. Either are many years away. Remember I have 2 Jeeps, they will keep me very broke I am sure.

Working on the rest of James's parts tomorrow and the bedliner on the cab. Then welding on the frame and build the upper mounts for the front uppers on Sunday. Is this a weekend cause it doesn't feel like it.

I love that idea. No better way to spend $100k in my opinion .

I'm just going to throw this out there..... with your fab skills, you could bring Flop to U4 standards with a handful of bling parts. It was a pretty cool feeling being in a daily driver surrounded by all of the buggies and trailer queens. The Flop would pretty hot with some remote resi's and stickers.

Just saying...
