Looks great... I think I can chop that down enough to make it work. Now the problem is I told the wife that I was thinking about using that tailgate and she go kinda sad.

One of the Bling items I had talked to her about was purchasing one of the New Rokmen tailgates. Decisions, decisions.....

I don't think the MJ tailgate fits the Brute concept. Sure you could massage the hell out of it and make it fit, but its a lot of work for not much return. All this project needs is a simple CJ tailgate with some sort of drop down conversion. Of course this is assuming the bed is made out of a TJ tub and follows the lines of the cab.

The reason he wants the mj tailgate is he can make it wider than the wrangler or cj tailgate. But I do believe it needs the simple cj gate too.

Pictures of the passenger side corner after forming to the corner.

Flat sheet of 16 gauge steel.

forumrunner_20120114_123912.jpg

Cuts to remove stress and allow the steel to bend properly.

Finished corner, upside down but you get the idea.

Maybe I will have some time to get it all fit and welded in this weekend.

If there's a tailgate and it doesnt say jeep on it I'll be very disappointed.

::SELLING HALF OF MY JEEP::

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f33/?uid=152304

Rear Currie 4" coils - 190 shipped. (They've been sitting in the back of my Jeep for mock up but won't work out for me.)

Hornblasters Shocker S4 horn set with some extras $210 shipped. (It is not OBA, just an accessory for OBA)

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

IndyORV- Dick and fart jokes, titties, throttle, flops, beer, tater balls, and good times.

I worked for about an hour today after work. Here is the result.

The corner fits great. It needed very little clamping to fit the radious. I still need to trim the ends for final fit. Then time to weld it all up. That's probably 2 hrs or better of welding.
