TJ subject to change directions

First off disclaimer warning....I have lots of pics but none to upload yet

I should probably introduce myself! Hi my name is Travis & I like to drink beer!

Anyway on with the story, I've always been into anything off-road especially 4x4's! Started my career with GM products & shortly there after decided it's cheaper to buy another truck than it is to buy a couple parts for one. So at one point in time i owned around 20 GM 4x4 trucks. My motto was, if it's cheap buy it!

My taste don't really change as i still like Chevys, but i'm always wanting something diff. ya know never satisfied!

Anyway most recently was into Toyotas owning more than thirty at one time
And just sold about 10 Ford trucks. I also have done a couple long Stints with Cummins powered Mopars!

Trying to explain that i go thru alot of vehicles, and liable to change direction at anytime! However, once i buy one, if i like it, true to my old ways, i buy more than one!

Sadly i've never had much interest in Jeeps (except Scrambler), up until a couple years ago. At that time I took a 95 yj on trade for a tractor i had at the time. It needed an engine, but wasn't in too bad of shape! My Father being a Jeep fanatic his whole life decided he wanted it and was going to put a SB 350 in it! So, I gave that one up to Dad...moving forward year and a half engine swap was going at less than snails pace, and he was looking 4 another Jeep! I found an 02 sport 4.0 5spd lifted and yellow (his favorite color). We went and looked at it! Him and the guy was couple hundred dollars apart on the deal and the breaker, was that Jeep would go into death wobble and could not safely be driven!

Well Dad didn't have the balls to buy it but I thought it was a smokin' deal, so I bought it and told Dad about it! Before i even got it home, he told me he was glad i bought it and he would pay for it as soon as he seen me! See the pattern here?

This being the first TJ i ever drove, I fell in love A/C, Smooth ride, easy to shift! Loved it all except the color I still couldn't tell him "NO" so that too went to Dad!

This definately put me in the mood for a Jeep and within 2 weeks Found what the wife and i considered the best looking Jeep we'd ever seen, an 05 Willys edition with really low miles, sporting a 4" lift and 33" TSL radials along with both tops and all records! I thought I was set...ya know found my dream Jeep...Ha The wife evidently had bigger dreams than me and turned this into her daily driver! She also would not let me play more than a simple romp in the woods! Now i'm starting to get pissed.....ya'll counting?
Thats 3 Jeeps already i've owned and never ended up with any! After buying the Willys, I lurked on this forum 4 many hours everday, all the while searching for "MY" Jeep! Well about 2 weeks ago, I found an 05 Rubicon down in SC Kentucky! Hauled it home and been spending money ever since!

The Rubi is black w/6spd trans! Came with Smitty bumpers and 33" Bone Crushers...otherwise stock! So far i've replaced front bumper with a Smitty XRC and installed a 10k Engo winch! It is presently at a 4x4 shop getting RC x-series 4" kit installed! Only other mod i have on the way is an ORFab bolt in cage! While dropping off the black Rubi with my father, we spotted another white Rubi for sale! We both fell in love...I'm Jeep poor already and he's on fixed income and not exactly flowing in cash either! He said no way was he gonna buy it... once again i said if you don't i will! So to bring you up to date, he purchased the white Rubi today, its an 03 with 5 spd and 2.5 BB and Runk bumpers front and rear!

So between my father, wife and myself, we now have 5 Jeeps! Dad asked me if I thought we should stop? I said uh NO! We are going to be moving in the next few months though, so trying to sell all the rest of my toys for the move! I told him once I get settled in some place, I will be buying alot more! Right now, just want to get some stuff done to the Rubi and get her in the woods! I promise pics will come, just not sure when!

Got my Rube back today! She's 4" taller and rides and drives better than when i dropped it off! Only got to drive about 50 miles and no off-road stuff, but at this point, i'm happy with the X-series lift and with Hilltop Performance!

Then i had to give my lights mouth 2 mouth! Previous owner murdered them!

Thought i was done, looked up and seen the third!

I actually still missed the 2 rear markers... they will likely be dead forever!

Got an XRC bumper and an Engo 10k winch. Had the privelage of having Nick help me install those!

I won't post all of those pics...but i will tell you the winch needs to be mounted before the bumper and the fairlead has to be mounted before the winch ask me how i know? That set-up gets pretty heavy after about the third time installing!

Only other problem we ran into...had to reweld some of the factory nuts in the frame. Be lost without my welder!

Sorry about the blurry pics...new camera messing with the settings!

Has absolutely "nothing" to do with Jeeps, but had an interesting vehicle show up at my house! Batman was "very" drunk!
