Tiki build!

So I am finally getting around to starting a build thread. I've had a 2010 Islander since new and I am buying it out of the lease in July. So the mods can start!

My first mod was replacing the BFG's with Nitto 285/70/17 Trail Grapplers. These tires are a big improvement IMO over the BFG's. Just wish I could have gone with 35's right from the start but the next round will be 35's or maybe 37's.

My brother got me the VDP stubby bumper ends. Looks much better with the shortened bumper.

My wife got me a Viair OBA setup with a 400C and a 2.5 gallon tank. I am still gathering parts but here are some of the things I have done so far. I got a Jeep Swag compressor mount. I mounted the switches on a Daystar lower switch panel. I found out that t he Daystar switches are made by Carling Technologies. I found out they also make Tiki switch cover. I had to keep going with the Tiki theme. I also made a mount for a circuit breaker. Since a SPOD is a fortune, I am going to make my own version. I have to made the box and mount the fused distribution panel. Hopefully I can make in the next couple of weeks. I also have to make a mount for the OBA manifold and figure out where to mount the air tank.

Likin' the theme so far. Let me know how those duallys work (mainly glare/lighting of road) as I'm getting an itch for some.

Will do. Hoping to have them wired up in the next week or so. Need to still build the box to house my fuse panel.

Had a little time today, decided to layout the bracket for the air manifold. This will mount on the compressor mount. Going to try and finish it up this week.

Got motivated this evening and temporarily wired up the lights. They are bright! Still need to see how they are at night driving.

Installed the bracket I made for the air manifold and mocked up the fittings. Hopefully I'll have this all mounted up this weekend and start of the fuse panel.

Mounted up the air tank today with some u bolts. I think I am going to swap them out for a nice set of clamps that Powertank makes.

I ordered ORW JK tranny cooler and installed it today. It is a great kit, everything fit well. I got tired of the dreaded hot oil light and decided to buy this kit to finally solve the problem. I know I could have gotten something a lot less expensive but I like the -an fittings instead of hose clamp. Plus who doesn't like braided hoses and -an fittings . The directions are good, the only issue I had was getting the stupid c-clip off the tranny line. I found a tiny flat head worked better than a pick for me. The whole install took about an hour.
