Mine's a little more expensive than a $60 tank of gas. More like $750 expensive.

I found a new one in Jacksonville for $750, but that's 4 hours away. I know of some internals about 4 hours the other way for $150. Jake here has one with 60,000 for $500.

I've been keeping up with this ordeal. I'd take the one from Jake.

Been back from school for a few weeks. Jeep is back in full DD mode. I've been fighting vibes and shakes for longer than I can remember. It became bad enough that I couldn't deal with it anymore, so last week I pulled the front DS and lubed up the ball assembly and some of the u-joints. It helped a little. I ended up ordering some Counteract brand tire balancing beads last week. I spent the past two days trying to get them in the tire. They kept bunching up and not moving in the hose. The trick was vibrating the hose as the beads poured in through the valve. I ductaped a bolt to a drill bit and spun it at low rpm against the hose and it worked like a charm. I noticed instant improvement in ride quality. I still have a slight shimmy around 30 mph, but the tires run like glass up to about 55. Have yet to go faster. All in all, I'm very pleased.

Somehow I fit all my **** from college in the jeep. My friends were very surprised.
