According to the install manual, you need a set of feeler gauges and a digital caliper. An HP is in my future, just not right now. Anyone know which TRE's are interchangeable? I have my order ready but I can't find the right outer? Am I supposed to use another pitman-draglink TRE for the right outer?

Yes obviously not the ring and pinion. I was talking about carriers and their internal parts.

I ordered the gauges and caliper off ebay for less than $20. I'm going with XRF balljoints and tie rod ends, they seem to be highly recommended on other truck forums. Placing my order tomorrow, since the distributor site is giving me errors. Calling Savvy tomorrow to possibly order my rear UCA's too.

Cool, i'm interested in how the aussie install goes.

You can never have too many tools.

Now is just a waiting game. Savvy arms are ordered. Only thing left to order are my TRE's and balljoints. The XRF supplier hasn't called me back yet. I'll give it one more day.

UPDATE: Ironically this just showed up at my door. Unfortunately, my battery died overnight. Died yesterday too after 6 hrs of skiing. I just can't win :

Are you going with stock replacement TRE's or V8 ZJ's?

I keep tossing the idea back and forth as I have not yet put an order through. Idk if its worth it. Currie kit is down the road.

Is there a significant price difference between OEM and ZJ's?

Decided to start on the shifter linkage swap first. Went to drop the skid and one of my newly installed nutserts started spinning. Spent an hour of applying pressure at different spots to gain some friction... nothing. Soaked it in penetrating oil and I'll torch it tomorrow. I removed as much of the old linkage as the skid would let me. Rough start My new H4 housings came in though

throw some beefy tack welds on those nutserts. Thats what i had to do to mine to keep them from spinning. Never had a problem since

Plan to. Just getting a welder to my house is the problem.

You must have a pretty sweet setup where you live. Seems like you're always posting on Facebook about going skiing. I have to drive for hours to Winterplace or Snowshoe to ski and no one will ever go, so I haven't been in a while.
