Thirdeye's Second TJ

Okay everybody... Got a new TJ. My first one was an 04 I6 that I have had some great times with. I still have it, but it has some engine problems so I haven't been driving it. Here is the build: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f22/h...rdeye-1233347/

But anyway, I picked up a 97 4cyl 5speed from a friend. He got it impounded and didnt have any money so I got it dirt cheap.

Its got some goodies already; 1" BL, 2" spacer lift, engine skid, Air setup, Hi-lift, hand throttle, some nice custom rock rails and a custom rear bumper.

Not sure what the plans are gonna be for this jeep, but heres some pics:

Anyway, the friend I got it from smashed into another car hence the fender and bumper. So I chopped the bumper Gotta love a sawzall.

Not sure whats gonna happen next.... It needs a stereo and does not have power steering! Its got new tires though. Anybody got any ideas on what direction I should take this jeep?

Hahaha something is bound to break :P

Anyway... took it wheelin a little this weekend. I moved the winch from my white jeep to this jeep, which was mandatory.... I used it twice! When I got to the spot where we wheel, this dude was stuck in a nasty pit in a Tundra. Turns out homeboy had blown a hole in his engine and lost all his oil. I winched him out of the pit. Then did some wheelin! I thought the manual steering was gonna suck balls, but it wasnt bad at all. Then, I got stuck in a little mud hole, but only cause I was pressured into it. Once again the winch came through. It rides great, the standard transmission is awesome! So lowwwwwww creepy crawly

You might want to flush your radiator if your pump looks like that.

Go to the auto parts store buy a mechanical oil pressure gauge check pressure. Then buy a new sending unit if the numbers don't match your dash gauge.

Its normal for the pressure to drop down to 10-15 at idle and should go back up to 40-50 while driving.

Went to hollister this weekend and did some wheelin. I ended up flopping the jeep on its side in a gulch. flipped it back over not much damage. A little fender bendage and the windshield frame got a little dent. It was slow and in soft mud.

Haven't updated in a while....

Not much has been going on, was fighting a coolant leak but finally figured it out. Had to get a Mopar water pump, the 30 dollar one i got from o'reilly failed.
I chopped the front fenders off too. It looks pretty rad with all the tire sticking out. I got some cheap side marker lights and slapped them on. Running lights only, and now i have no turn signals at all :/
Got new shocks and installed the front and adjusted the bumpstops. Will get to the rears sometime...
Swapped over the driver door from the whit jeep because the stupid zipper window broke.

Also, got a group going to frank raines this weeked if anybody wants to join.

Went to Frank Raines this weekend (April 5th), with a bunch of homies. Had an awesome time and we wheeled hard. Had my Tj, freinds JKUR a taco and a stock 4 runner. Flopped the jeep again, on the driver side, flipped it back up, tried again and flopped it again. It was funny unbuckling my seatbelt while sitting on the ground. Nothing broke but we got a little extreme and were out at night. Actually had to leave the jeep stuck up in the hills.... Definitely not the first time that's happened before. :shh:

Anyway, pics:
