I was there that day. Had hell in that same spot. I'll be glad when I can take off work for a few weeks to put all the stuff I have ordered for mine on. That's one of my favorite parks I've been to. I love it there.

I have this new Dagger winch bumper on the way. I ordered the bumper and hoop separate, because I didn't like how tall the hoop was from JCR Offroad. I'm going to cut the hoop down and weld it on including the gussets. I'm also thinking about closeing in the sides so it covers the holes in the front frame tube.
I'm now looking for a winch, but there are so many that I can't decide which one I want. I'll post some pictures of the bumper once I get it. I think I'm going to coat it with bedliner.

Nice build. I'm contemplating purchasing the Zone 4.25" combo lift but I would prefer to keep the lift at 3" if possible. I also have a 2000 TJ and want to run 33x12.5s.

Thanks!!!
You should be able to run just a 3" spring lift with 33's, with maybe some trimming of the flares and the right bumpstop spacers. But, I would plan on a SYE/CV driveshaft and you have to have at least upper rear adjustable control arms to dial in the pinion slope.

Does the Tom Wood SYE kit found here ( http://www.4xshaft.com/SYE_overview.asp ) contain everything you would need? It's $525 so I would hope so

Also, why does one NEED upper rear adjustable control arms? I was of the understanding that I would only NEED an SYE/CV, bump stop extensions and an adjustable front track bar.

Thanks for your help, it will surely prove invaluable when putting my Jeep together!

Yes that is what you want. You can get everything cheaper on ebay.

You have the adjust the pinion up so it is inline with the driveshaft because the slip joint is now in the driveshaft for the suspension flex. The u-joints need to be at the right angles to each other or they will wear fast and you'll get vibrations. Read Tom Wood's website more, there is a link at the top of the home page that is very good.

I have the bumper mocked up with the hoop cut down some. I'm going to get it welded up next week, then coat it in a few weeks when I get back from Colorado.

I got the bumper welded, primed and coated with bedliner this week.

Trying to decide which winch I want now.

Do you like Barnwell? I'm thinkin when I'm back in Fort Worth for the summer I'll go on a run or two with LSJC. Bumper looks good too. And I'd like to say thanks to you for helpin me out with the lift decision when I was new to JF.

If you can't stand behind our troops feel free to stand in front of them!

You would like BMRA, send me a PM if you ever go and I will go down with ya. I'm suppose to there now with the club. But with the rain and me getting some overtime today I decided to make money instead of spending it.

TY, The Zone springs ride pretty good for a cheap lift.
