Thanks guys, took the jeep out to the beach a couple weeks ago and had a great time out showing it off on Go Topless Day. We had an awesome weekend and the jeep handled great until I got home that weekend. Started getting crazy driveline vibes with no visible cause. Today I pulled the rear shaft and the CV joint is toast. I'll be visiting the driveline shop tomorrow for a warranty on my brand new driveline.
Oliver's Drive Shafts will not warranty the shaft. That makes 2 crap driveshafts from them. I will never give them any more of my business. Another local shop said it would cost me $200 to replace the CV Yolk on the shaft.
For that cost you can get a brand new Tatton's. Is it not rebuildable? You can get a CV rebuild kit at the parts store.
The pin on the inside yolk is chewed up pretty bad, they have to replace the yolk And cv joint . And time is not on my side as I have to get it done today. I went ahead and left it with them. I'll know better next time.
Well guys I'm keeping the dream ALIVE! Long story short the YJ is back and the build continues. I just wasn't ready to close this book and start on a JKU just yet. I'll keep the updates rolling as I continue on with my plans for the jeep.
From the start, to now it's made a solid transformation and I intend to keep on going.
very nice choice! and the jk world isn't all that fun anyways
