Today I pulled the rear shaft and the CV joint is toast. I'll be visiting the driveline shop tomorrow for a warranty on my brand new driveline.
Glad you found out its the cv.

Oliver's Drive Shafts will not warranty the shaft. That makes 2 crap driveshafts from them. I will never give them any more of my business. Another local shop said it would cost me $200 to replace the CV Yolk on the shaft.

For that cost you can get a brand new Tatton's. Is it not rebuildable? You can get a CV rebuild kit at the parts store.

The pin on the inside yolk is chewed up pretty bad, they have to replace the yolk And cv joint . And time is not on my side as I have to get it done today. I went ahead and left it with them. I'll know better next time.

Oliver's is crap. Always go with Carolina Driveline, great company to do business with.

It's crazy how I heard nothing but positive stuff about Oliver's until now. Regardless the newly rebuilt shaft is in and she's back on the streets.

Well guys I'm keeping the dream ALIVE! Long story short the YJ is back and the build continues. I just wasn't ready to close this book and start on a JKU just yet. I'll keep the updates rolling as I continue on with my plans for the jeep.

From the start, to now it's made a solid transformation and I intend to keep on going.

Method Race Wheels, Double Standard wheels with the polished ring. Possibly going to have them powder coated to match the gunmetal armor.

I'm going with these wheels soon too. Maybe August if funds allow it. Need a different look then soft 8s for once.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with the classic steelie look but there's nothing classic about my jeep so why not mix it up. I have yet to find a YJ on methods, so I may be the first, and I like firsts.

And that may be true but I was starting to get used to the idea of a "luxury" vehicle but the YJ will do just fine. I'll add a few creature comforts along the way.
