Well I moved to Denton in may and we havnt built a new shop yet so the buggy is on hold till I have room for a chassis table and what not. But a couple days ago I picked up an MJ to throw the axles under and build into a truggy to hold me over for a while... Bc I hate not bein able to go wheeling! Lol. Got it all torn down this week and should start cutting it up this weekend.

Hoping to have it done by feb, I'll post a link when I start the build thread.

I take it you mean this one? It's a '97 tub and what's left of the frame. Other than that it's a total mutt. It's actually green or was. But everything that gets replaced is painted rattle can black.

Mid jan is a stretch. End of feb is gonna be hard to pull off will my work schedule right now. But the plan is put the tons under it. 350, sm465, Dana 300. Propane, tubed rear, bull nose, 16 in coil overs. Basically everything I've collected for the buggy.

New engine skid: Check
Has tank skid: just needs final weld. Then Check
Main skid back on: check

Here's me working on the gas tank skid. I don't need a press brake just a vice, a hammer and a big crescent wrench or 2.

Newish wheels

It definitely needs either another inch in the back or cut a coil down an inch in the front.

Have fun, the area sounds like a pretty awesome place to wheel.

Five jeeps went in four came and three broke down.

My jeep broke a rear axle but we drove it out with plenty of assistance up big obstacles, had a fuel pump crap out in a fuel cell (tj unit in the cell), and lost a bead and valve stem. No one had a spare to steel a stem out of so we had to haul the tire out with us.

This was one of those days when jeepin is like sex when it's good it great when it's bad it's still pretty good. Pics when I get back to a computer to download.

Here's a few iPhone pics.

Those rear shafts have had a hard life, looks like y'all had a good time. You enjoying how the jeep handles?

I broke it 2 hours in the place pictured above. It was good just a little short for cruces. I bent the crap out of that Clayton main skid and sub frame. I'll get it straightened out and the rear end pulled apart. It's been good climbs well and puts the power down. Just a little short it's getting 3" rear springs.
