I can see what I have going on around that time and try to meet you guys there Lou if that's possible. hopefully i'll have everything installed on my jeep by then

That rear axle bearing looks like mine about 2 months ago. Did you get all the metal out of the housing? I did the best I could with a magnet and brake cleaner. Then installed a mangetic fill plug from Dimple.

Yikes is right!

Yes we had to pull the carrier and duech it all out.
Fwiw I am now a perminate Yukon gear fan the zip locker held up perfectly even seeing that the axle break cracked the drivers side carrier bearing.

That is a trail fix. No need for a truck and trailer....

Maybe for you..... I had the axle, gear oil and tools but no carrier bearing. And I don't trust myself to get the carrier out and in.

Fwiw the splines were stuck in the carrier and had to be beat out after it was removed. Bearings on the carrier fell apart as we pulled it out.
