Now I needed some flanges that will accept the outer modular bumper ends that will bolt to the center section. I made these from 1/4" by 1 1/4" wide flat steel, cut and mitered for the angles.

Tig welded into place I will later round the corners and drill the holes for the bolts.

Now I temporarily tacked the front center section to the mount just to lay out the tow points and hitch receiver.

Wow that's a lot of work you put into it. Nice job.

Post a better pic of that front bumper.

Will get a better pic tomorrow. Light was getting low this evening and the paint was still shiny.

Still got more to build on this yet. The tow points and receiver have to be mounted and the modular ends have to be built. That is next weekends project.

Here are a couple more of the center section. Not sure what I am going to do to tie it in better. I actually cut the tacks and removed it today to get a better idea on what to do.

This thing has turned into a time management nightmare. I have decided to not use bolts to attach the bumper ends to the center section and just weld them on. I am tired and this is a lot of work and I need this thing done.

I have installed the receiver to the center section. This is not a recovery point. This will be for mounting a winch or a tow rope loop for light towing duty.

I also began working on the first bumper end piece.

I cut the top section from 1/8" steel plate. This piece defines the shape of the bumper end and wraps the corner under the corner marker light.

For added strength I cut and welded 1/8" thick angle around the edge of the plate. This gives me a place, a shoulder, to weld the stainless too.

The end piece still has some work left to be finished. Mosquitoes got too bad to endure and I had to quit for the day.
