New Tires

I purchased this TJ in January of 2010. Like some first time jeep owners, I didn't think i was going to end up so addicted to modifying.

Before:

Poor thing needed a LOT of TLC!

The inside was horrible. There was hay everywhere. I had to take the carpet out and pressure wash them!

Right off the bat I knew I had some work cut out for me. The tires were shot, the back bumper was welded to the frame, suspension rusted like crazy, shocks shot.... Hmmm. Where to begin!?!!!

Looks like a 4" lift to me... maybe it settled a little bit.

After i got the new 35's on.. it was rubbing galore!

after a trip to TeraFlex i got a new 4" lift. The lift it came with sagged big time.. it was sitting about a 2-3" not a 4". But with a 10 year old Teraflex lift...didn't surprise me.

The 'new' tera lift is temporary. (meaning 1.5 - 2 years).

RUST RUST RUST!

D35...bye bye...

hello d44

Look what came in the mail today

Super 44, super 35, ARBs, 4.88s, slip yoke eliminator, Tom Woods Shaft, ARB compressor and Currie AntiRock.

After about 30 minutes of thinking about where to mount the ARB compressor...i found the perfect spot!

Found a good spot for the ARB switches too:

all of this install was going on right before EJS 2010. I ended up driving through the night and pulling into moab at 5:00AM! i was just glad to get the lockers and everything in .

After jeep safari i decided to buy something to fill in that monster opening on the front stinger/bumper!

Turns out you have to have a 3rd brake light... yep. gotta fix it ticket.
1. No 3rd brake light
2. No front license plate
3. Insufficient tire coverage (tires stick out too wide)
4. No mud flaps

I've thought of doing bead locks sooner rather than later, but i've decided to get all the armor done and stretch it first. I also plan on changing axles some time and might end up on a differ bolt pattern, so i'll wait for now. I run 10 PSI and haven't ever had any issues yet. I also have friends that run 6-7 PSI w/o bead locks and they haven't blown a bead yet... So maybe in a year or two i'll have bead locks..
