Does it matter if the rig is at normal "ride height" or not? I have the whole rig in stands and I'm nowhere near ride height anywhere right this second. Also how do I measure where there are no brackets? I mean I just have the stock brackets and mounts, those are getting lopped off the bottom and some kind of unknown ones fabricated and the the new outboarded shock towers... So any measurements I would take now would be to basically imaginary positions, no???
Imaginary positions will suck, so you will probably want to wait for that stuff to come in.
I have parts on the way (should be early next week) to put my front end back together. Will need to get some help from local club member for some welding on the axle (new swaybar link mounts and the Pass. Side Currie JJ), then I'll be able to get my front end put back together. New Currie 9120TJJ Track back came this week, so hopefully soon I'll be ready to rock and roll.
I have Savvy Rockers and Taillights that should be here next week too, so once I get the Axle install and the Rig back on the road, they will be next.
I have plans to take a trip down to SoCal next month for a 3 day weekend to get some expert help doing my Outboarding in the back (already ordered shocks and the Ford Shock Towers and had them sent down south for "pre-fitting"). Hopefully will also continue getting more Savvy if the parts are ready.
Yanked my 5 year old Pioneer Premiere Deck and Sony Amp and Sirius Tuner and replaced with an inexpensive Kenwood KDC-MP345U Deck with USB/iPod Support.
Eh... it was worth a shot. A friend of mine got $500 to build a website for the local Fire Department, and he gets paid to keep it updated. For some reason that number sounds a little high to me for such a small site, but his step dad is the Chief.
Got some new Swaybar link mounts and my Steering Knuckle (Tapered for Currie driver tie-rod flip) in the mail today...hauled the Axle to a friends house and he did the welding for me! Got the new Swaybar link mounts and the Currie Pass Side Johnny Joint mount thing all welded up. Need to do some cleanup and paint and should be ready for reinstall this weekend..
